Camp Choices

Resident camps.  Generally resident camps are held on college campus. Your team building and bonding will get a kickstart staying in the dorms (hence the term resident).  Veteran teammates and newcomers have more time to share ideas, build team comraderie and brainstorm.

Each camp will vary - look at duration:  3 day, 5 day, 14 day.  You will need to take this in to consideration.

Classes are held each day to improve motions, jumps, cheers, chants, dance technique, tumbling and stunting.   Team building fun is often included and an opportunity for you to compete.  You may compete for Best Motions, Best skit, Best Spirit ....   This is a great way to advance your team just by seeing other teams from local and afar.

See the Cheerleaders!  page for more detail on each type of camp.

Private camps.  A private camp is yours - directed at you, what you need - customized for what you want.  This personalized camp is held at your gym and created by you and the professional camp coordinator.  If your squad this year needs tumbling help, let them know.  Are your dancing skills your weakness?  Could your choreography be stepped up a knotch.

This is where the material is geared for you.  AllStars may need advanced stunt building.  High School teams may need new crowd leading chants.  Junir Hi teams may need dance instruction.

Class dates and duration may be your option when residential camp dates just won't work for you.

Resort camp.   The ultimate break-away.  Team bonding at it's best!  For Coaches, teammates and parents. Time away may rejuvinate you and allow the creativity, inginuity and real communication you've been needing.

Day camp.  You create the camp experience on home turf.  Day camp may also run 1 full week.  Nine to five schedules may be broken into skills, spirit, safety and team building sessions.   Hire a choreographer and obtain a good music mix.  Jump start your season and prepare for local competitions.

College Directed.   College cheerleaders build their life skills and act as role models while making money for their team at the same time.  This may be light on your budget and good value for your dollar.   Investigate the camp.  Call for itenierary and information on instruction.  Your cheerleaders get an opportunity to get one on one time with collegiate cheerleaders.

Local.  Hosted by dance studios, private gyms, and philanthropic groups.   Range from day clinic to full camp.  Watch for updates.
