Code of Conduct
 

You should contact your Administrator and the OACC prior to using or developing a Cheerleader Code of Conduct for your organization.

A code of ethics should be tailored to the needs and values of your cheer organization. It may be attached to or built upon the school’s code or the athletic department’s code.

The principles of your Code need to be expressed in statements to guide your team in ethical decision making. These statements are the framework of your organization.

Why should you have an additional Code of Ethics?

  • to define accepted/acceptable behaviors deemed proper and fitting of a cheerleader and an ambassador for your school community.
  • As a mode for your identity as a cheerleader, a leader, a role model, a good citizen.
  • to promote high standards of daily practice .
