Generally Youth Cheer Camps are "Day" Camps, meaning there is no overnight stay. The camp may last a few days or a few weeks. The coaching staff will demonstrate fundamental skills and teach and review basic cheer terminology. Crowd involvement cheers, new chants and half time entertainment dances may be introduced. Emphasis is placed on learning the value of sportsmanship and accepting the diversity of teammates. Techniques of proper body placement for all motions is stressed and learning to control your body in rhythm with yourself and then with others.
