Scholarship Candidate Requirements 2008
	The Ohio Association of Cheerleading Coaches provides a scholarship to a student that exemplifies and reflects the professional and personal values of a cheerleader. Students who have received the award before are eligible to re-apply. Cheerleading background, leadership abilities, patriotism/pride, scholastic achievements and desire for further education are all considered.

The following criteria will be considered most important in the selection of the successful candidates:

Be an eligible student-athlete on an Ohio Cheerleading squad or team. Must be enrolled as full time student of college, university, or trade school for fall 2006. Must have minimum cumulative GPA 2.5 Must be a member of OACC (or recommendation of parent or coach who is a member). Demonstrate a commitment to an active lifestyle. Scholarships will be awarded to the candidates whose applications earn the highest overall scores from the judges.

Complete all items on application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
	To apply for this award, a student should submit by email attachment to scholarship@ohiooacc.com or via U.S. mail. ENCLOSE: Your resume, (2) Two letters of recommendation, A current school transcript or your ACT or SAT scores, A Photograph (preferably in uniform)AND a 1 page essay on the topic - How has cheerleading influenced you? Proof of acceptance/attendance will be required this fall.
